What’s your biggest barrier to losing weight? It’s likely that you are getting in your own way. I sure know that I get in my way sometimes! We set big motivating goals, work at them for a week or two, maybe even a month, but then slowly we put our goal in the back of our mind and stop taking action towards it. Let’s face it, it’s way easier to stay the same than it is to change! That fact will never change.

However, I have created a daily health and fitness goals journal that will make reaching your fitness dreams so much easier! With the Dreamline Journal you are able to map out a path from your 1 year dreams all the way down to your daily actions that need to be taken to in order to get there. After mapping out your 1 year, quarterly, block (28 day), weekly, and daily goals and action plans, you are ready to hit the road.

What makes the Dreamline Journal so effective are the the morning preview and evening review pages. It is in these pages that you will check-in daily, remind yourself of your goals, and reflect upon how things are going. There are 1,001 different obstacles that can and will get in your way when you are attempting to lose weight, run a marathon, or attempt any difficult endeavor, this journal will help you stay focused on your goals and remind you of what you are working towards. Through the use of the journal on a daily basis you will be able to rebound quickly and get back on track after facing set backs and obstacles.

Start with 1-3 dreams that you would like to accomplish in the next year. Got it? Great!

What are 3-6 goals that need to be accomplished in the next 90 days in order to help you reach your goals?

Now we will break down the next 90 days into 28 day increments (blocks).

Over the next block, or 28 days, what do you need to accomplish in order to put yourself 1/3rd of the way towards your quarter goal? More simply, how can you break down your quarter goal into chunks and achieve part of it now?

What do you need to do during week 1 to accomplish your block 1 goals?

Now the fun part!

What can you do on a daily basis that will help you more closer towards your 1 year dreams, quarter, block, and weekly goals? The key towards reaching your goals is constant action on a daily basis. You will never reach your dreams if you wait until Saturday to try and accomplish all of your weekly goals!

Daily Goal Examples: 

  • Write down everything that I eat or drink
  • Use the Dreamline Journal
  • Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning
  • Walk 7,000 steps
  • Mediate or pray
  • Consume 20 grams of protein within an hour of waking up
  • Foam roll or stretch for 5 minutes
  • Park in the back of the parking lot
  • Drink water before and during each meal
  • Read at least one article or news piece about health or fitness

These are just examples of a few things you can do on a daily basis to help you stay consistent in your actions. Take a few minutes to pick the ones that match your goals and also create a few for yourself. They should be easy to accomplish, but also inch you towards living a healthier life.
